Mares at Carberry
some of our mares grazing

Carberry Stud was begun with the purchase of Copperfield touch of Magic early in the 1990s. She moved from our, then, home near Portsmouth, to Staffordshire where she began to gather playmates. Sallie was the first, she is not Welsh, but has ridden, driven, shown and bred for us and become the Matriarch, keeping watch over the current herd and playing nanny to the proper Welsh babies as they appear.

We have always known the type of cob and the bloodlines we like, and like most people are trying to breed the best Welsh cob the world has seen.!

Due to a variety of reasons some of our mares have had to move on and several false starts have been made.

In 2005 the biggest change took place as we moved the whole gang to Scotland...... This was a major event and one which we could not have even contemplated without much help and support from PAT AND GEORGE BURNIE and all the gang at Durris. We couldn't have done it without you THANKS xxxxxx

Now settled we are looking forward to this years foals by the multi -talented performance stallion Janton Dictator kindly standing here on loan from Durris stud. Hopefully 5 of the mares are in foal. so four should be for sale!
